Tabs I have open in Firefox. I can never find anything that I put in my bookmarks, so let’s put these here.
- You should follow me on Twitter from Dustin Curtis. I am totally stealing this.
- Do Twitter’s Trending Topics Signify What’s Important To You? from Brian Solis. No. I am very interested, however, in trending topics from my community – the people I follow and the people that follow me.
- Half of us search for brands after seeing them on Twitter Good. Storing this in my warehouse of factoids to impress executives in presentations.
- As Facebook Ages, Gen Y Turns to Twitter. More infopr0n.
- How to Integrate Social Media into your Marketing. from Jay Baer. This is good. We’ve done some early steps integrating our really healthy social media activities with our very robust direct marketing programs, but I wouldn’t say we do it in a programmatic and repeatable way yet. I like the jazz combo metaphor. I also like Jay’s website.
- Corporate social media policies ebook. from Dave Fleet. We have one. Probably time to update it, so saving this link.
- Getting a Group Blog Going. Good Luck. from Doug Haslam. Echoes my experience with some nice tips. Fodder for a future post.
- Hiring for Social Media: The Ugly Side from Amber Naslund. Yow. Hiring for a tactical/tools/jr position and giving it strategic/sr responsibilities.
- Curating the Signal:Noise Ratio in the Social Graph and The Future of Marketing from Todd Defren. Both great articles on how we’re going to manage our many connections and our conversations. I just went back and re-read my comments on each of these posts, and I sound pretty one-note. Facebook is doomed! Niche communities are the future! Not sure it’s that simple.
- What IF We Redefined Influence? The New Influence Factor in Social Media from Brian Solis. I’m actually not sure what the IF is about, because this world of a mishmash of specialized influencers is the world I live in, but it’s a good description of where we are.
